Problem

Slope failures along the banks of the E-8 Canal in Port St. Lucie, FL necessitated repair and stabilization to protect surrounding residential properties.

Solution

The City of Port St. Lucie used funding from Tropical Storm Fay NRCS EWP Recovery grants to have the ARMORMAX® 75 System installed along select areas of the canal banks to provide engineered structural stability against shallow plane failure of the slopes. ARMORMAX® 75 provided an eco-friendly solution with vegetated, stabilized canal banks.
