Problem

Gateway Services Community Development District (GSCDD) maintains the storm water system of a 4,800 acre residential development in Fort Myers, FL. Multiple pond banks in the development had severe erosion due to wind driven waves, irrigation drawdown and changes in seasonal groundwater levels. This erosion caused continual property loss with vertical drops over 4 feet in some areas.

Solution

GSCDD combined ARMORMAX® Engineered Earth Armoring Solution™ as a green armoring solution above water with a greatly reduced amount of No. 4 stone below water control to stabilize the eroding banks.
