Slopes along narrow rural highway corridors are not easy to stabilize once they begin to fail. Deposited sediment from a slope along Route 26 in Calaveras County was costing CALTRANS District 10 expensive pollution fines, requiring emergency repairs with a short construction schedule.

Limited right-of-way and access dictated an innovative solution as the conventional rock slope placement measures just weren't feasible. Propex worked with CALTRANS and the contractor to implement ARMORMAX® 75.

ARMORMAX® 75 was implemented as a much faster and less expensive structural reinforcement system that yielded rapidly vegetated stability.
