Willow Creek Road is a 36-mile stretch of unpaved road in Glasgow, Montana. Frequently used by cattle ranchers, vacationers, and hunters, it posed a muddy, hazardous mess during wet weather. Early attempts to solve the issue using only gravel were not successful due to the silty soil composition. Additionally, the closest gravel pit was a three-hour drive making it inefficient and expensive to continue adding gravel to the road.

Propex GEOTEX® 200ST Woven geotextile was installed down the middle of the road. GEOTEX® Woven is manufactured with high tensile strength and low elongation to provide dimensional stability and deliver superior load distribution, reducing rutting and extending the life of paved and unpaved roadways. Additionally, it reduces the overall thickness of the road section by requiring less aggregate during construction. After GEOTEX® 200ST was installed, 6 to 8 inches of gravel was placed on top of the road and was then followed by a grader.

Upon completion, Valley County Commissioners Dave Pippen and Dave Reinhardt said, "We see the long-term benefits of using geotextile fabric on our road. Just saving one inch of gravel will pay for the fabric." Local residents also saw the benefit of installing geotextile fabric. Wade Wentzler, homeowner and the nearby Pines recreation area said "I usually have to replace the gravel in my driveway every five years. This (GEOTEX® fabric) will be well worth the taxpayers' dollars."
