Problem

In 2019, multiple additions and improvements were made to the campus of Mounds View High School. To support the School’s growing footprint, a new re/access road was needed on the west side of the school grounds. To enable construction of the new road, grade changes were needed for the existing site.

Solution

PYRAWALL, an engineered wrap-face vegetated solution, was selected to build a mechanically stabilized earth (MSE) wall. Modular block retaining walls were considered as a facing to the MSE wall, but PYRAWALL provided a more cost effective and environmentally friendly solution.
