Continuous erosion was threatening the stability of a channel at the Intel’s Plant in Guadalajara, Mexico and existing gabions were failing to provide stabilization.

Contech Mexico and Urbacon proposed to the client a combination of PYRAMAT® 75 High Performance Turf Reinforcement Mat (HPTRM) and new gabions as the right solution for this project. PYRAMAT 75 was used to reinforce the slopes of the channel as well as reinforcement over the new gabions.

The combination of PYRAMAT with the gabions allows the slopes of the channel to remain stable and prevent any future erosion.
