Geosynthetic liner systems are commonly used in mining and energy production applications for heap and mountaintop leach mining, tailing ponds, fresh and frac water storage systems, and disposal of well cuttings. Using a geotextile above or below the liner minimizes stress and damage, acts as a cushion to protect the liner, and prevents fine soils from clogging drainage systems.
